VINTrakID is not a dealership, insurer, insurance producer, insurance adjuster, appraisal service, repair facility, lender, or legal service provider.

VINTrakID provides derived, non-authoritative vehicle value ranges generated from public data, proprietary analytics, and predictive modeling. These ranges are for informational and analytical purposes only and do not constitute appraisals, offers, guarantees, or substitutes for resale, trade-in, or valuation services.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Compliance

Prohibited Uses: VINTrakID outputs, including but not limited to Equity Scores, Diminished Value Susceptibility (DVS), Lifetime Value Index (LVI), market value estimates, and any other vehicle analytics, may NOT be used:

• As a factor in establishing a consumer's eligibility for credit
• For insurance underwriting or rating purposes
• For employment screening or hiring decisions
• For tenant screening or rental housing decisions
• For any purpose that would constitute a "permissible purpose" under FCRA § 1681b
• As a basis for taking adverse action against a consumer

Permitted Uses: VINTrakID data may only be used for:

By using VINTrakID, you certify that you will not use any VINTrakID data or outputs for any purpose that would cause VINTrakID to be classified as a Consumer Reporting Agency under FCRA.

All market values, value ranges, trends, projections, alerts, and indicators provided by VINTrakID are estimates only. These estimates are derived from aggregated data sources, market signals, and proprietary analytical models, and may differ materially from:

• Dealer offers
• Insurance valuations or settlements
• Appraisals
• Actual sale prices

VINTrakID does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any estimate or projection.

Equity Health Score

The Equity Health Score is a proprietary comparative metric designed to provide a simplified snapshot of a vehicle's relative financial position.

The Equity Health Score:

• Is not an appraisal or certified valuation
• Is not a credit score
• Is not a prediction or guarantee of financial outcome

Diminished Value Susceptibility (DVS)

Understanding sensitivity to diminished value

Diminished Value Susceptibility (DVS) reflects how sensitive a vehicle's market perception may be to diminished value if an accident occurs.

Data Sources and Methods:

• VIN-decoded vehicle attributes (year, make, model, trim)
• Market-level indicators (value class, brand positioning, segment characteristics)
• Analytical proxies for repair complexity, technology density, and documentation expectations
• Value-based tier caps reflecting economic constraints on diminished value

Data NOT Accessed:

• Accident history or claims records (Carfax, AutoCheck, NMVTIS)
• OEM sensors, telematics, or onboard diagnostics
• Insurance claims, repair invoices, or inspection reports
• Driver behavior, driving history, or safety ratings

What DVS Does NOT Provide:

• Valuations or appraisals
• Insurance determinations or recommendations
• Accident predictions or safety assessments
• Dollar estimates of diminished value loss

Lifetime Value Index (LVI)

The Lifetime Value Index (LVI) is an informational metric provided by VINTrakID designed to offer general insights into vehicle ownership characteristics over time. The LVI is calculated using a combination of vehicle attributes, historical trends, market indicators, and user-provided information, where available.

LVI scores are not appraisals, valuations, guarantees, forecasts, insurance determinations, underwriting decisions, or financial advice. LVI should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchasing, selling, insuring, repairing, financing, or otherwise transacting a vehicle.

LVI scores are directional and comparative, not absolute, and may change as vehicle conditions, ownership behavior, market conditions, or available data change. VINTrakID does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or future performance of any LVI score.

VINTrakID reserves the right to update or modify the methodology, inputs, or presentation of the LVI at any time without notice.

Recall Information

Recall information is provided for awareness only and may not reflect the most current manufacturer status. VINTrakID does not guarantee recall completeness, severity classification, or repair eligibility.

Vehicle owners should verify recall information directly with manufacturers or authorized dealerships.

Mileage and Title Information

Mileage data and title status are based on available records and may be incomplete, delayed, inconsistent, or inaccurate. VINTrakID does not certify mileage accuracy, title condition, or vehicle history.

Insurance-Related Disclaimers (State-Specific)

No Insurance Activity

VINTrakID does not sell insurance, bind coverage, negotiate claims, adjust losses, or act as an insurance producer, broker, or adjuster in any jurisdiction, unless expressly disclosed in writing.

• Buyer's Package reports are informational summaries, not certifications or guarantees
• VINTrakID does not independently verify the accuracy of user-submitted service records
• The inclusion of service records does not guarantee their completeness or accuracy
• Recipients should independently verify vehicle information before making purchasing decisions
• Reports do not constitute appraisals, warranties, or guarantees of vehicle condition

Users sharing Buyer's Package reports are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any information they have submitted. VINTrakID is not liable for decisions made by third parties based on Buyer's Package content.

Registration, Tax, and State Compliance Disclaimer

VINTrakID provides general informational alerts related to vehicle registration, license plates, tags, vehicle taxes (including ad valorem taxes), and state-level ownership requirements for awareness purposes only.

VINTrakID:
