Vehicle and Equity Data

These outputs are informational estimates, not guarantees or appraisals.

Service Records and Buyer's Package Data

When you use the Vehicle Records or Buyer's Package features, we may collect and process:

Service records you manually enter or upload
Receipt images processed for data extraction
Product barcode scans and related product information
Report generation history and sharing preferences

Service records you enter are stored with your vehicle profile. When you generate a Buyer's Package PDF, this information is compiled into a downloadable report. VINTrakID does not independently verify the accuracy of user-submitted service records.

Maintenance Intelligence Data

When you use the Maintenance Intelligence feature, we may collect and process:

Odometer readings you voluntarily provide
Service reminder preferences and notification settings
Interaction data with maintenance guides and specifications

Maintenance specifications displayed are derived from general industry data and are not sourced from or representative of official manufacturer documentation.

ZIP Code Data (Partner Offers)

When you opt in to receive third-party partner offers, you may choose to provide your 5-digit ZIP code. This collection is:

Voluntary: ZIP code is never required to use VINTrakID's core features
Post-Opt-In Only: We only request ZIP code after you explicitly opt in to partner offers
Limited: We collect only the 5-digit ZIP code (no ZIP+4 extended codes)
Not Derived: We do not infer or pre-fill ZIP from IP geolocation or other sources
Acknowledged: You must acknowledge the usage disclosure before submission

How ZIP Code Is Used: Solely to identify geographically relevant partner offers (e.g., local dealerships, service centers, regional promotions) and to provide localized market value context. We do not use ZIP code for advertising profiling or sell precise geolocation data.

Your Rights: You may update or delete your ZIP code at any time through the My Offers page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Provide vehicle equity scores, trends, and insights
Enable saved vehicles, alerts, and reports
Generate maintenance specifications and service timing estimates
Deliver service reminders based on your preferences

FCRA Compliance Statement

VINTrakID is an informational platform, not a Consumer Reporting Agency. We do not furnish "consumer reports" as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Our data may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may delete saved vehicles or close your account at any time through your account settings.
